Tie guan yin is a semi-ball rolled tea is similar to oolong in that the process of oxidation and roasting is the same, but tie guan yin comes from a different plant than Taiwanese oolong. This tea was roasted in our shop and is a very high grade of tea in Taiwan and internationally. Buddha's Hand (Fo Shou) Tie Guan Yin is considered the "king of the teas." This rare tea has larger leaves than other types of tie guan yin and is grown at a higher elevation.
Color: Orange-yellow with a reddish tinge.
Flavor: Mellow, thick, sweet, smooth. Slightly astringent and fruity. Stronger than other types of tie guan yin tea.
